REFLECTION OF THE NINE PRINCIPAL COMPETENCIES

Competency 001:
The principal facilitates various activities in the school that supports the school vision that is shared by the school community.

Competency 002:
The principal communicates effectively with all stakeholders and responds to their needs by making resources available to them to ensure that students are successful.
​
Competency 003:
The principal is aware that they need to set an example for students, parents, teachers and the community. With this in mind they have to act in an ethical manner as outline by the Texas Education Agency.

Competency 004:
The principal understands that student performance and success it of utmost importance so the necessary plans are put in place and the appropriate curriculum implemented. The principal ensures that the teachers align the curriculum, instruction and use various methods of assessment of students performance.

Competency 005:
The principal facilitates and implements an instructional program that are conducive to student learning and promotes professional development for teachers.
​
Competency 006:
The principal knows evaluates teachers and gives feedback to foster improvement, growth and performance. The legal model for supervision and personnel management are followed.
​
Competency 007:
The principal makes decisions and solves problems that ensure an effective learning environment.
​
Competency 008:
The principal applies leadership and management skills for personnel, financial management and technology.
​
Competency 009:
The principal puts plans in place to ensure the safety of the campus to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
